Comments for FACSys Enterprise Edition

FACSys Enterprise Edition [Listing updated: August 25, 2006]

FACSys Enterprise Edition has a completely re-architected database platform based on MS-SQL. The FACSys Administrator and Desktop Client Programs retain their familiar ‘look and feel’ to minimize user and administrator retraining. The FACSys Enterprise Browser will permit access and operation of FACSys through a browser interface, and/or from inside Outlook.

Key FACSys Enterprise features: New SQL/MSDE Database back-end; Enterprise class server failover; Scalable; New browser based user interface; Direct access from inside Outlook; Single secure login to multiple servers; Increased call control functionality; Server farm/Board farm scalability; Support for Fax over IP T.38 Protocols; Support for Boardless Fax Servers; Backward compatibility to existing apps; Compliant with Document Management programs.

FACSys supports MS Network Load Balancing, SQL-clustering and automatic failover from one FACSys server to another. Microsoft Exchange can be fax-enabled using the Exchange 2003 SMTP gateway. In addition, FACSys can fax-enable any SMTP mail system (SAP, Lotus Notes, customized internal applications) and Multi-Function printers, faxes, and copiers with e-COPY ShareScan OP. Receive fax messages in your inbox in PDF and/or TIF format with an OCR Text file.

Comments for FACSys Enterprise Edition
"AD Integration" - Peter Mittler - emFAST VP Business Development [February 14, 2006] Product Rating: 5/5
Brian, your comment is groundless. FACSys 4.91 is totally integrated with AD, either directly or with a SYNC tool (if you prefer not to extend your schema). Please get your facts straight before posting in a public forum. FACSys requires no 'fat' client on the PC, integrates with Exchange/Outlook or any SMTP gateway without any alledged 'workarounds'. FACSys 5.0 will release in Q1 of 2006 with an SQL backend, browser-based front end and many other features that customers have asked for.
"FACSys" - Chad [February 8, 2006] Product Rating: 5/5
As a network admin, I appreciate the fact that FACSys is easy to work with. Our server has been running for almost two years without the need to be restarted. It's the most stable fax server app I've ever worked with.
"AD integration, NOT" - Brian Clouthier [July 1, 2005] Product Rating: 2/5
This product is not AD integrated. It will only support a single domain. Fine for a 200 person company. The work around is using an extra SMTP servers, manual entry for each user, and a fat client on each PC.
"FACSys is the easiest to use and implement" - Sue [April 25, 2005] Product Rating: 5/5
I find that FACSys is the easiest fax software to use because the Software Development Kit is free and I do not have to pay to write my own application to fax enable my custom software.
"FACSys" - Grant [April 25, 2005]
FACSys is the best product that I have come across for our desktop faxing needs.
