Comments for EICON ISDN fax cards

EICON ISDN fax cards [Listing updated: May 7, 2002]

EICON develops a range of ISDN cards with CAPI 2.0 fax capability. The EICON Diva PRO is a semi active, 2 port card. The EICON Server BRI is a active 2 port card. The fact that it is active means that it has a processor on board so that all the fax processing can be offloaded to the card.

"Eicon DIVA Pro and Server BRI boards" - Arrigo Fradiani [September 24, 2002]
DIVA boards make reliable G3 Fax connection with minimal load to the faxserver, in my case Athosfax. They allow the faxserver to automatically route the fax by means of the inexpensive MSN feature, supplied by the local Telco, or via DID, if an ISPABX is available. Their prices is a fraction ( 1/3 to 1/5)of the cost of specialized faxboards from other well known suppliers.
